The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Gibault Catholic High School basketball player Kailynne Small. The junior guard is averaging 16.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, nearly five assists and nearly four steals per game to lead the Hawks to a solid 5-0 start to their season. She scored 24 points and had four blocks in Monday’s win for Gibault over New Athens.
