Jerry A. Dennison

Jerry A. Dennison, 69, of Waterloo, died July 9, 2018, in Waterloo.

He was born Aug. 10, 1948, in Ironton, Mo., son of the late  Floy and Dorothy Dennison (nee Lotz).

He was a retired past president of United Auto Workers Local 136. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and he was involved with Boots on the Green and many other veterans organizations. He was also a Mason and attended First Baptist Church, Waterloo.

Jerry is survived by his wife Anita Dennison (nee Queen); children Ian Dennison, Travis Turner and Ginger (Michael) Perez; grandchildren Bryce Dennison, Cameron Dennison, Mackenzie Turner, Clayton Turner, Noah Perez and Mia Perez; niece Darla Butler; and nephew Allen Dennison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Caleb Perez and sister Jeanie Ryder.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. July 12, and 8-9:30 a.m., July 13 at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Funeral services were at 9:30 a.m. July 13, at the funeral home, Pastor Beverly J. Krieg CEO officiating.

Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Jefferson Barracks Food Pantry.
