James Allen Middleton | Obituary

James Allen Middleton, 47 of Fairview Heights, died March 4, surrounded by his mother, sisters and brothers sharing stories of his childhood at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

James was born May 25, 1967, son of Joseph C. and Patt (Ray) Middleton, Sr.

James grew up in Columbia and lived in Centerville, Mo. for 15 years. He was a born again believer in Jesus Christ his Savior. He liked to attend auctions, buying and selling goods. James loved to give presents and visit with family.

He is survived by his parents Joseph C. and Patt Middleton, Sr. of Lewistown, Mo.; siblings, Dianne P. Miller of Waterloo, Donna L. Middleton of Hamel, Joseph C. Middleton, Jr. of Maricopa, Ariz., Mary A. Middleton of Grants Pass, Ore. and Ted D. Middleton of Lewistown, Mo.; a nephew, Donny (Kaylee) Miller; two nieces, Heather Middleton and Jennifer Miller; and many aunts, uncles & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otto and Elsie Middleton, Chester L. Ray, Sr. and Ramona (Patterson) Dixon.

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon March 14 at First Baptist Church of Columbia.

Memorial funeral services will take place at noon March 14 at First Baptist Church of Columbia.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Centerville, Mo.

Memorials may be made to the James Allen Middleton Memorial Fund or the National Alliance for Mentally Ill.
