Columbia American Legion Post 581 hosts its annual Veterans Day program in the legion hall this Sunday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m.

Chris Mace will perform pre-program music as well as such patriotic standards as the “Star Spangled Banner,” “America the Beautiful” and “Armed Forces Salute” during the program.

Michael L. Fromme, a 50-year member of Post 581, will also be honored.

The featured speaker will be retired U.S. Navy Commander Gary Boo of Columbia, a 33-year military veteran. His father and uncle, the late Frank and Willis Boo, both served with the Navy during World War II.
