Veterans Day ceremony in Waterloo

The City of Waterloo is hosting a Veterans Day program Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the Gibault Catholic High School gym.
The program begins at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony in the cafeteria.
This year’s program will highlight POW-MIA veterans. Waterloo was named an official POW-MIA City earlier this year. The city is in search of relatives of POW-MIA veterans from Monroe County so they can be recognized at this event. Contact Mayor Tom Smith at 618-939-8600, ext. 200.
The guest speaker will be Col. Jeremiah “Scot” Heathman of the U.S. Air Force. He is Commander of the 375th Air Mobility Wing at Scott Air Force Base.
Gibault’s new Military Honor Wall will also be available for viewing.
