The 28th annual Millstadt Weihnachtsfest German Christmas Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this Sunday, Dec. 4, at St. James Parish Center, 423 W. Madison Street. A craft fair opens at 10 a.m. and features holiday gifts, hand-crafted jewelry and decorative items. A holiday Cookie Walk offers home-made Christmas cookies including German specialties. German food (sauerbraten, bratwurst, schnitzel, potato pancakes, red cabbage, sauerkraut and strudel) will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in a parade at noon. Entertainment will be provided by the Millstadt Community Choir, Waterloo German Band and St. Louis German Cultural Society Jugendgruppe (youth group) dancers. The event is sponsored by Millstadt Sister Cities and there is no admission charge.  Alles Willkommen!
