The Fort de Chartres Colonial Market Faire is this weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 1 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 2 at the fort, 1350 Route 155, Prairie du Rocher. The Colonial Market Faire is a living history event for juried participants depicting the Illinois Country circa 1750-1790. The Market Faire features costumed historic interpreters, shooting matches, and period games, with reproduction period goods sold by craft persons and merchants.
