Eugene W. Linker

Eugene W. Linker, 95, of Waterloo, died Jan. 11, 2013, in Waterloo.

He was born July 30, 1917, in Valmeyer, son of the late Herman R. and Margaret Linker (nee Weber).

He was married to Wilma Linker (nee Luhr); she survives him.

Mr. Linker was a member of Knights of Columbus #1334 in Waterloo, Waterloo VFW #6504, Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and Waterloo Quadrilles, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; children Rodney (Kathy) Linker, Floy (Charles) Pease, and Kristine (Thomas) Stork; grandchildren Amanda (Michael) Esposito, Melissa (Eric) Lonn, Matthew (Sarah) Linker, Ben (Tia) Pease, Emily (Dan) McKenzie, Ethan Story and Elaina Stork; and sisters Martha (Francis) McNulty, Peggy Gray and Betty Benz; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jerome โ€œJerryโ€ Linker, and sisters Anna Myrtle Andres and Dorothy Danley.

Visitation was Jan. 14-15, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 15, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo, Father Osang Idagbo C.M. officiating.

Interment followed at Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia.

Memorials may be made to Ss. Peter and Paul School or Gibault High School.
