Eugene B. Goessling

Eugene B. Goessling, 70, of Waterloo, died March 19, 2013, in Belleville.

He was born Dec. 19, 1942, in Waterloo, son of the late Herman H. and Adelia R. Goessling (nee Wagner).

He was married to Marlene Goessling; she survives.

Mr. Goessling was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and the Real Estate Association. He sold real estate for more than 40 years.

Survivors include his wife; children Wendy Goessling (fiancé David Deterding), Todd Goessling, Kelly (Mark) Yochum; grandchildren Jacki, Casey, Joe, Mark Jr., Mackenzie, Corey, Connor and Caleb; sister Dorothy (Richard O.) Steingrubey; and sister-in-law Ann Goessling: along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Corey James Goessling, brother Harold C. Goessling, sister Marlene Fromme, granddaughter Adriana Yochum, and grandson Benjamin Lampitt.

Visitation was March 22-23, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A funeral Mass was celebrated March 23, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo, Father Ron Weber officiating.

Interment followed at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Waterloo.
