Curtis H. Mosbacher

Curtis H. Mosbacher, 87, of Prairie du Rocher, died Feb. 5, 2016, in St. Louis.

He was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Fults, son of the late George and Lavina Mosbacher (nee Hess).

Curtis was a lifetime resident and farmer of Monroe County. He was a member of the Monroe County Farm Bureau, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Renault American Legion, and a former member of the now-dissolved St. John United Church of Christ, Fults.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Mosbacher (nee Bergmann); children Steven (Doris) Mosbacher, Rita Biffar, Lucille (Scott) Neudeck and Dennis (Debbie) Mosbacher; 16 grandchildren; one-great-grandson; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Adam M. Mosbacher; son-in-law Michael Biffar; and brothers Eugene (Virginia) Mosbacher and Preston (Helen) Mosbacher.

Visitation was Feb. 7, at Quernheim Funeral Home, and Feb. 8, at the Fults church.

A funeral was Feb. 8, at the church, Pastor Glenn Davis officiating.

Interment followed at St. John Cemetery, Fults.

As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to: St. John Cemetery – Fults, Monroe County 4H Foundation Scholarship Fund or Farm Bureau Scholarship.
