Carol M. Wilhelm

Carol M. Wilhelm (nee Heuckroth), 89, of Waterloo, died Sept. 5, 2013, in St. Louis.

She was born Dec. 22, 2013, in St. Louis, daughter of the late William Ernest and Vera Heuckroth (nee Seckler).

She was married to James H. Wilhelm; he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wilhelm was a U.S. Navy veteran. She was a member of Gateway Waves International, Red Hat Society, Monroe County Home Extension and Jennings Lady Lions Auxiliary. She was a Campfire Girl leader, Cub Scout leader and resident of Oak Hill.

Survivors include her children Deborah (Bruce) Cummins, Susan Wilhelm, and Steven (Christine) Wilhelm; grandchildren Catherine (Michael) Bess, James B. Cummins, Alyssa Wilhelm and Matthew Wilhelm; and great-grandson Evan Bess; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was Sept. 8-9, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Funeral services were Sept. 9, at the funeral home, Pastor Matt Friz officiating.

Interment followed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
