Arrests in burglary to shed at Maeystown park

Two have been charged in connection with a burglary that occurred early Thursday inside a shed at the Maeystown Civic Association park, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.

Jesse Ryan Dill, 22, of Waterloo, and Kyle S. Pollock, 20, of Belleville, have each been charged with felony burglary for their roles in the alleged incident, according to court information.

Police said that at 6:39 a.m. Thursday, it received a call about a suspicious vehicle at the Civic Association shed. A witness reported there were subjects inside the shed and interrupted the burglary. The witness provided a vehicle description and a partial license plate.

Deputies tracked the vehicle to an address on Rachael Street in Waterloo and took the suspects into custody within hours, Monroe County Sheriff Neal Rohlfing said.

“I want to commend Chief Deputy Jim Lansing, Deputy Bruce Whipple, and Deputy Larry Gardner for the investigation that led to arrests within four hours of the incident,” Rohlfing said.
