The Illinois State High Schools Association released playoff pairings for local baseball teams:

Top seed Valmeyer High School (19-12-1) will play Madison or New Athens in the Class 1A New Athens Regional on May 18. The winner of that game will play Marissa or Metro East Lutheran in the regional final at 10 a.m. May 21 for the right to advance to the Carlinville Sectional.

Gibault Catholic High School ((12-15) will play DuQuoin in the Class 2A Nashville Regional at 11 a.m. May 19. The winner will play in the regional final at 11 a.m. May 21 for the right to advance to the DuQuoin sectional.

Dupo High School (15-7) will play Litchfield or Gillespie in the Class 2A Gillespie Regional on May 19. The regional final will by played May 21 at 11 a.m.

Waterloo High School (19-4) will play East St. Louis in the Class 3A Mascoutah Regional at 4:30 May 25. Columbia High School (16-10) will play Mascoutah at 4:30 May 26 in the Mascoutah Regional. The regional final will be played May 28 with the winner advancing to the Triad Sectional.
