Election Results | Wittenauer, Sauget re-elected in county positions

It was all cheers at the Waterloo VFW, the meeting place of the Monroe County Democrats, on Tuesday evening.

In the Nov. 6, 2012, election for the office of the Monroe County Circuit Clerk, current circuit clerk Sandy Sauget (Dem) defeats Jeffery Hejna (Rep). And for the office of the Monroe County Commissioner, current commissioner Delbert Wittenauer (Dem) defeats former commissioner Franklin Kohler (Rep).

Final vote percentage by candidate:

Monroe County Circuit Clerk:

  • Sandy Sauget- 55%
  • Jefferey Hejna- 45%

Monroe County Commissioner:

  • Delbert Wittenauer- 54%
  • Franklin Kohler- 40%

Monroe County Votes for the 12th Illinois Congressional District:

  • Jason Plummer (Rep)- 57%
  • William Enyart (Dem)- 39%
  • Paula Bradshaw (Grn)- 4%

William Enyart declared victory over Jason Plummer, at 10:05 p.m. on Tuesday evening, in the race for the Illinois 12th Congressional District. With 91% of the precincts reporting at 10:30 p.m., Enyart had 50% of the votes, while Plummer had 45% and Bradshaw had 6%.

It appears that David Luechtefeld and Jerry Costello II have won their races, as well.
