William G. Cartlidge

William G. Cartlidge, 83, of Columbia, died Dec. 11, 2015.

He was born Jan. 27, 1932, in Carthage, Miss.

Mr. Cartlidge faithfully served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a member of the Mason Contractors Association and Bricklayers Local #1.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Cartlidge; daughter Lori (Fred) Grabe; grandchildren Alexa and Nicklaus Grabe; and sister- and brother-in-law AdaMac (Dan) Shimkus and Teddy Lawson. He was also a dear brother, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.

Visitation is Dec. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry, St. Louis.

Funeral services will be Dec. 17, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
