The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Waterloo High School baseball team coached by Mark Vogel.

The Bulldogs are 19-8 on the spring and currently sit in first place in the tough Mississippi Valley Conference. Waterloo defeated Jerseyville, 3-0, on Monday, but fell on the road Wednesday at Civic Memorial in extra innings, 8-7.

The ‘Dogs have won 11 of their past 14 games heading into Monday’s critical conference showdown at Mascoutah.
