Joshua B. Doty

A young Waterloo man is facing a felony sex charge following an alleged incident that occurred Saturday in Monroe County.

Joshua B. Doty, 20, of Waterloo, was charged with criminal sexual assault, a Class 1 felony. Court information alleges that on March 12, Doty committed a sex act with a female who was under the age of 18 when the incident occurred.

Doty was arraigned on the charge at the Monroe County Courthouse on Monday, during which he entered a not guilty plea.

Bond was set at $20,000 and he was given a preliminary hearing date of April 7.
Doty remains in custody at the Monroe County Jail in Waterloo.
