Continuing a 30-year tradition, a group of 22 from Waterloo’s sister city of Porta Westfalica, Germany, made a four-day visit to Waterloo. Sister Cities of Porta Loo member Deb Cummins said that as part of the partnership, Waterloo residents visit Germany every four years, and the Germans make a trip here every four years.

The German group, which toured Waterloo’s historic sites as well as making trips to St. Charles and Ste. Genevieve, Mo., was expected to leave for Florida on Wednesday morning.
