Vernon T. Juelfs | Obituary

Vernon T. Juelfs, 66, of Fults, died Nov. 5, 2012, in Fults.

He was born Dec. 3, 1945, in Boxtown, son of the late Louis W. and Olga M. (nee Offermann) Juelfs.

Juelfs was retired from Chrysler and the Maeystown Fire Department. He was a Vietnam War veteran and member of the Renault American Legion and  United Auto Workers Local 110.

Survivors include wife Judy (nee Benton) Juelfs; daughters Jamie (Roger) Barber and Josie Juelfs (special friend Jonathan Shanks); grandsons Payton and Patrick Barber; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Tom and Rita Benton and Ken and Jan Benton; brothers Dennis Juelfs, Clifford (Sue) Juelfs, Melvin (Ruth) Juelfs and Richard Juelfs; sisters Pearl Windergerst, Shirley (Erv) Werner, Alice Stevens, Cathy Clevenger and Diane (Robert) Nicholson; brother-in-law Jack Zappa; sister-in-law Barb Jones; along with aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Gladys Zappa; brothers Gene, Larry, Allan and James, and many others.

Visitation will be held 2 p.m. until time of service Thursday, Nov. 8, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A funeral service takes place 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the funeral home, Merrill Prange officiating.

Memorials may be made to the family’s wishes.
