This week’s Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Gibault Catholic High School 6-foot-3 sophomore Trevor Davis, who was named last week to the Associated Press Class 2A All-State basketball team in Illinois as an honorable mention.

Davis averaged nearly 14 points per game for the Hawks this season to go along with 7.3 rebounds per game. He led the team in blocked shots (22) and was second in assists (72).

Davis hit multiple game-winning or game-tying shots for Gibault this season, highlighted by a 31-point performance against Vandalia in the Okawville tournament.
