Thefts from vehicles in Columbia

Columbia police are investigating multiple reports of thefts from unlocked parked vehicles that occurred earlier this week.

The thefts were believed to have occurred between 10:45 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Columbia Police Chief Jerry Paul said.

One vehicle in the 300 block of Bradington Drive, another vehicle in the 1000 block of Bradington Court and two vehicles in the 1000 block of Forest View Drive were burglarized, Paul said, with various items stolen.

Anyone who may have observed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the thefts, or similar activity near other vehicles in town, is asked to call the CPD at 281-5151.

Police also remind residents to keep unoccupied vehicles locked at all times.
