The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo soccer player Sydney Luedeman.

The junior netted three goals and added an assist for the Bulldogs in the team’s 6-0 victory over Marion on Friday night to win the regional title.

Luedeman, a junior, now has 28 goals on the season to lead the team and put her among the top goal scorers in the entire St. Louis area. She also has 11 assists on the season for the Bulldogs (17-3-3).
