Sharon Earline Stark

Sharon Earline Stork (nee Schewe), 66, of Waterloo, died July 2, 2018, in Waterloo.

She was born July 8, 1951, in East St. Louis, daughter of the lateEarl J. and Ardell Schewe (nee Rey).

Sharon was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Valmeyer. After high school in Valmeyer, Sharon attended Deaconess Nursing School. After a short stint of work at Deaconess she began her career at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where she worked as a registered nurse for more than 40 years. She and her friends and all the others at Children’s were angel lifelines to all the kids and families they touched.

After retirement she enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, especially her four grandchildren. She was fully devoted to attending all of her kids and grandkids events, no matter the miles she had to travel. She loved her family with a love that was deeper than you could imagine. She was the kindest, most loving person to everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Stork; children Ben (Stacy) Stork and Sarah (Kevin) Chudd; grandchildren Griffin and Owen Stork, and Kyle and Molly Chudd; sisters Judy (Bob) Edler and  Marilyn Ahrens; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial visitation is 9:30-10:30 a.m. July 7, at St. John United Church of Christ, Valmeyer.

A memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. July 7, at the church, Pastor Elizabeth Terrill officiating.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation or St. John United Church of Christ, Valmeyer.
