Robbie’s walk an inspiration at CHS

Sunday afternoon, 155 graduates walked across the stage in Columbia High School’s gymnasium to receive their diploma and officially move on to the next step of their life.

This is a special day in each and every graduate’s life, but this graduation day meant even more to one graduate.

Robbie Small is a member of Columbia’s Class of 2015 who had a unique journey leading up to this day. Born with cerebral palsy, Robbie had to overcome much bigger obstacles than his fellow classmates.

“His physical limitations challenged him, but did not hold him back,” said Robbie’s mother, Kay Small. “He absolutely loved school.”

She continued on to say that her son never missed a home football game and always participated in every event that he could…
