Richard W. McClellan | Obituary

Richard W. McClellan, 67, of Valmeyer, died Sept. 5, 2014 in Valmeyer.

He was born Nov. 13, 1946 in Sikeston, Mo., son of the late Richard W. and Velma C. McClellan, nee Cates.

He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, 9th Infantry 44th Medical Brigade, owner of Fountain Inn and retired from MAR Business Farms.

Richard is survived by wife Jeanette McClellan; children Marc McClellan and Wendy (Paul) Hill; grandchildren Trevor and Ava McClellan, Jeremy, Leah and Evan Hill; sisters Cherry (Ray) Generous, Debbie (Steve) Crays; aunt Doris McClellan; beloved cat Valley; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Hunter McClellan and sister Rosalind Saelig.

Visitation took place Sept. 8 and 9 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

Funeral services took place Sept. 9 at the funeral home.

Interment followed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund or the St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
