Regional heartbreak for Gibault & Red Bud Tuesday

For the second time in four days, a Gibault sports team saw its season come to an end in heartbreaking fashion.

On Tuesday night, Nashville beat Gibault, 25-15, 19-25, 23-25, in the Class 2A Dupo Regional semifinals.

In a match filled with many momentum changes, Nashville pulled this one out at the end, scoring the final two points.

Gibault, who finished fourth at state a year ago, finishes its season 22-13.

Four days earlier, Gibault’s soccer team saws its season come to an end when Alton-Marquette beat the Hawks 3-2 in overtime.

Red Bud also ended its season on Tuesday, losing to Carlyle in a, 18-25, 25-17, 23-25, three game battle. The Musketeers end their season, 19-10 overall.
