Police blotter 9/24/14

Columbia Police

Sept. 16 – Darla A. Stumpf, 42, of Columbia, was arrested on an in-state warrant and for driving an uninsured vehicle.

Sept. 20 – Christopher J. Murdock, 28, of Columbia, was arrested for domestic battery at 310 Grueninger Street.

Illinois State Police

Sept. 21 – Police, fire and EMS personnel responded shortly after 2 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Route 3 right in front of the Wm. Nobbe John Deere dealership south of Waterloo. A Dodge crossover and Toyota Camry were the two vehicles involved. The male driver of the Camry was taken by Monroe County EMS ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis for treatment of injuries not believed to be lifethreatening. The driver of the Dodge reported minor injuries. The Waterloo Fire Department performed extrication at the scene. “It was a head-on, but could’ve been much worse,” Waterloo Assistant Fire Chief Brett Wiegand said. An official accident report has not been released.

Monroe County Sheriff

Sept. 16 – Mark Nichols of St. Louis was arrested on an in-state warrant.

Sept. 18 – Kelly Clifford was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant.

Sept. 19 – Andrew Bailey of Millstadt was arrested on an in-state warrant. Crystal Steinheimer of Red Bud was arrested on an in-state warrant.

Sept. 20 – Shannon R. Williams of Cahokia was arrested on an in-state warrant.

Sept. 21 – Deputies responded along with the Prairie du Rocher Fire Department to a rollover crash on Bluff Road about three miles south of Fults shortly after 6 p.m. The male driver refused medical transport at the scene.

The theft of a tiller from a shed in the 5600 area of Shilliday Lane is under investigation. The tiller was taken between Sept. 9 and Sept. 20.

St. Clair County Sheriff

Sept. 18 – Hecker Fire Department first responders and Millstadt EMS responded at about 2 p.m. to a home in the 2500 area of Cemetery Road near St. Augustine Cemetery in rural Waterloo after a 71-year-old man shot himself. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Waterloo Police

Sept. 7 – William J. Mitchell, 27, of Waterloo, was arrested for retail theft at U-Gas.

Sept. 10 – Dylan Brinkmann and James Belsky, both 17, of Granite City, and Devin Ballard, 28, of Waterloo, were each issued city ordinance violations for public fighting at Circle K, 209 S. Market Street.

Sept. 15 – A juvenile was arrested for possession of cannabis at the skate park.

Kodi Lafore, 19, of Prairie du Rocher, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant.

Sept. 16 – A burglary to a display home in the Country Club Estates area is under investigation. A door was kicked in to gain access and the suspect or suspects attempted to steal a refrigerator and other items but were unsuccessful. Anyone with information is asked to call 939-3377.

Sept. 18 – Alan Mackey, 34, of Red Bud, was arrested on a Collinsville police warrant at U-Gas.

Casey M. Kolmer, 19, and Kenneth J. Kolmer, 52, both of Waterloo, were each arrested for domestic battery at 105 Fairway Drive.

Sept. 19 – Steven Price, 31, of Waterloo, was arrested on two Monroe County warrants.
