Columbia Police
July 28
Joseph K. Hall, 30, of Columbia, was arrested on a Monroe County failure to appear warrant at the police station.
July 29
Jermaine L. Coleman, 30, of St. Louis, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant and for driving while suspended, no insurance and no valid registration on I-255 northbound.
July 31
Anthony J. Maples, 32, of Millstadt, was arrested for DUI, expired registration and no insurance on Columbia Quarry Road at Route 158.
Kacey C. Holbrook, 28, of Belleville, was arrested at 2804 Lakeside Drive on a St. Clair County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Aug. 1
Shavon Porter, 32, of East St. Louis, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant at 253 Bradington Drive.
Aug. 2
Russell J. Amann, 47, of Prairie du Rocher, was arrested for DUI at 301 Southport Drive.

July 28
A local resident recently purchased a vehicle on Craiglist and picked it up in St. Louis. Upon inspection of the vehicle back at home, the resident discovered a chain attached to a plastic container in the engine compartment that contained a baggie of what appeared to be an illegal drug. The substance tested positive for slightly more than 28 grams of crystal meth. The matter is under investigation.
July 31
Shawn C. Tindall of Willisville was arrested on a St. Louis city warrant.
Aug. 3
The Maeystown and Waterloo fire departments responded shortly after 4 p.m. to a wheat field on fire in the area of 4275 Kaskaskia Road about 400 feet north of St. Joe near Sprankel Road. The Waterloo Fire Department provided mutual aid with its brush and tanker trucks.

Waterloo Police
July 26
Shayne Carroll, 18, of Columbia, was charged with battery after he allegedly threw a full water bottle at someone’s face at the Monroe County Fairgrounds.
July 29
Peter Garza, 18, and Dan Oliver, 18, both of Waterloo, two 16-year-old Columbia boys and a 15-year-old Columbia boy were each issued after hours city ordinance violations at the Skate Park, 316 N. Library Street.
July 30
Donald Hosfeld, 24, Dimitri Hayes, 22, Brittany Hamilton, 22, and Madelyn McGinnis, 18, all of Waterloo, were issued after hours city ordinance violations at Lions Park, 730 Lake Drive.
July 31
Gary Gischer, 70, of St. Louis, was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while suspended, no insurance and improper lighting (one headlight) on Rogers Street at Hamacher Street.
Aug. 1
A report of shoplifting at the Waterloo Walmart is under investigation.
