Columbia Police
Aug. 16
Porshay M. Baker, 27, of East St. Louis, was arrested for theft at Hampton Inn, 165 Admiral Trost Drive.
Anthony C. Rovertoni, 31, of Columbia, was arrested on an in-state warrant for failure to appear on the original citation for improper walking on the roadway.
Aug. 17
Deante M. Buntyn, 26, of Madison, was arrested on an Illinois State Police warrant and for driving while license suspended, no insurance, and improper use of registration on Bluff Road at Valmeyer Road.
Brenden A. Weathersby, 22, of Cahokia, was charged with felony aggravated DUI following a July 14 traffic stop.
Aug. 18
Joshua J. Wisham, 24, of Cahokia, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant and for no valid license, no seat belt and no insurance on Route 3 at Gall Road.
Aug. 19
Jeremy D. Quate, 34, of Mascoutah, was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage on Route 3 near Gilmore Lake Road.

Monroe County Sheriff
Aug. 15
Heather Patefield, 31, of Waterloo, was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville with minor injuries after the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 she was driving on Route 156 near Susewind Lane left the roadway and crashed shortly after midnight. Patefield told police she had swerved to avoid striking a deer.Aug. 16
Demarrion L. Lockett, 30, of East St. Louis, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Aug. 17
Steven M. Price, 34, of Waterloo, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Aug. 18
A traffic stop conducted by the MCSD’s Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Unit on Route 3 at West Bottom Avenue in Columbia yielded two arrests on drug charges. Stephanie Lord, 25, and Christopher Brandenburger, 33, both of Dupo, were arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance (heroin). Bond was set at $10,000 for Lord and $20,000 for Brandenburger.
Aug. 19
Eric R. Smith, 20, of Valmeyer, was cited for unlawful possession of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident that occurred shortly before 7 a.m. on Bluff Road at Ziebold Road. His 2009 Chevy Silverado went off the roadway and struck a tree. Smith did not require medical transport.
A Marlin model 1894 .44 magnum gun was reported stolen from a hidden safe in the 300 block of West Back Street in Hecker. The crime is believed to have occurred between June 10 and June 17.
Aug. 20
A traffic stop in Waterloo resulted in the arrest of Teresa Chillemi, 37, of Stone Park, on an active warrant and also for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The theft of money from a tip jar at Schorr Lake Winery on South Library Street in Waterloo is under investigation.
Aug. 21
A Fults woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Route 3 near Select Fuel just west of Red Bud. Police said a 1993 Saturn driven by Michael Sanders of St. Louis pulled out onto Route 3 in front of a 2012 GMC driven by Linda Hirsch of Fults. Hirsch was transported by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Sanders was cited for failure to yield.
Stanley Briggs, 41, of East St. Louis, was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender.

Waterloo Police
Aug. 16
A resident on West Fourth Street reported an identity theft after it was discovered that a credit card account was opened fraudulently using his name.
Aug. 17
The theft of an angel ornament from a headstone at Waterloo City Cemetery is under investigation.
Aug. 18
Tyler Huseman, 23, of Christopher, was arrested on a Randolph County warrant on Route 3 at South Market Street.
Aug. 20
Elizabeth Trehearne, 27, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI on Route 156 at Creekside Drive.
