Columbia Police
Aug. 13
Brian K. Dively, 43, of Columbia, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant for failure to appear in court on the charge of speeding.
Aug. 14
Armando Luna-Martinez, 27, of Collinsville, was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding on Admiral Parkway southbound at Southwoods Drive.

Monroe County Sheriff
Aug. 8
A possible charge of deceptive practice is under investigation after a resident of Carr Road reported that someone gave them a bad check in the amount of $265 for the purchase of a dog.
Aug. 9
The theft of a cut-up 60-foot maple tree from a yard on West Monroe Street in Hecker, which was to be used for firewood, is under investigation.
Aug. 12
Samantha M. Turner, 21, of Dupo, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Aug. 14
The theft of between $20 and $60 from a plastic change jar inside a home in the 4900 block of Kaskaskia Road in Burksville is under investigation.
Deputies assisted St. Clair County authorities on a call involving a high-speed chase of up to 100 miles per hour that originated out of Belleville around 2 p.m. and went through the nearby communities of Freeburg, Smithton, Red Bud and Marissa before two men were eventually taken into custody in New Athens. No other information was immediately available.

Waterloo Police
July 31
Garrett Kohnz, 46, of Waterloo, was issued two city ordinance violations for failure to inoculate dog in the 400 block of Park Street.
Aug. 8
Glenn J. Rabbermann Jr., 40, of Waterloo, was charged with two felony counts of threatening a public official. Court information states that following Rabbermann’s arrest for domestic battery on Aug. 1, he threatened Waterloo police officer Scott Spencer by allegedly threatening to take the lives of Spencer’s children by burning them and also threatening to beat up and/or shoot Spencer. Bond for Rabbermann was set at $50,000.
Aug. 9
Kristen Wrinkle, 20, of Waterloo, was arrested on an in-state warrant at 23 Victor Street.
Aug. 11
Donald J. Hosfeld, 25, of Waterloo, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery at 242 N. Main Street.
Aug. 16
The theft of two vacuum cleaners and an inflatable mattress from Walmart is under investigation. The incident occurred about 11:30 a.m.
