Columbia Police
Jan. 14 – Sharayah L. Barnes, 30, of Alton, was arrested on an in-state warrant.

Monroe County Sheriff
Jan. 9 – Michael J. Schneider, 32, of Waterloo, was arrested for a Randolph County warrant on Konarcik Road.
Jan. 9 – Two possible residential burglaries at a home in the 8300 block of D Road are being investigated, one in late December and one Jan. 8. A male resident reported sleeping pills and checks were stolen in the incidents.
Jan. 9 – A report of fraudulent activity of about $800 on the Macy’s account of a resident on Christmann Lane is being investigated.
Jan. 10 – Derek L. Reitz, 40, of New Athens, was arrested at South Church and Elm streets in Waterloo for unlawful use of a weapon after he was pulled over for failing to signal and two uncased handguns were discovered on the front seat of his vehicle.
Jan. 10 – Anthony D. Jackson, 38, of St. Louis, was arrested on Old State Route 3 near George Weber Chevrolet on a Monroe County warrant.
Jan. 10 – A report of identity theft for unlawful use of a credit card belonging to a resident on Levee Road is being investigated.
Jan. 12 – Tanya Vilcek, 32, of St. Louis, was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant out of St. Charles County, Mo.
Jan. 16 – A report of criminal damage to property on Route 156 is being investigated for damage to a swimming pool that occurred Sept. 26.
Jan. 16 – Daniel G. Aponte, 25, was arrested at the Super 8 in Waterloo on a Randolph County warrant.

Waterloo Police
Jan. 12 – Brendan Piazza, 22, of Waterloo, was arrested in the 400 block of Glendell Lane for domestic battery and felony aggravated assault. The assault charge came after he allegedly swung his hand at a police officer’s face.
Jan. 14 – A 16-year-old from Mammoth Springs, Ark., was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident when the 2015 Dodge Sedan he was driving struck a tree at Grand and Columbia avenues shortly after 11 p.m. No injuries were reported.
