Oct. 29
Julio C. Trevino, 37, of Arnold, Mo., was arrested on an in-state warrant and for speeding on I-255 westbound.

Nov. 1
Joseph A. Dimercurio, 24, of Collinsville, was arrested for DUI, no insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after his Mazda struck a Dodge Ram driven by Joseph Klein, 57, of Red Bud, from behind on Admiral Parkway southbound near Mark Drive around 1:20 a.m. No medical transport was required.

James L. Pepper, 49, of Columbia, was arrested for DUI, improper signal and improper backing on D Road at Blue Spruce.

Nov. 2
A three-vehicle crash occurred around 4 p.m. on North Main at Kalowski Street. A southbound Dodge Ram driven by Seth Heard, 19, of Millstadt, ran into the rear of a Chevy Silverado driven by Douglas Randolph, 24, of Columbia, which in turn struck the rear of a Chevy Silverado driven by Gene Gummersheimer, 68, of Columbia, which had stopped to turn left. Randolph and Gummersheimer were each transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Heard was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Timothy W. Oguinn, 37, of Hecker, was arrested on an in-state warrant and for driving while revoked on I-255 westbound.

Nov. 3
Eric S. Stechmesser, 29, of Columbia, was arrested for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident on the northbound Route 158 exit ramp at Route 3 around 12:45 a.m. No injuries were reported in the crash.

Monroe County Sheriff

Oct. 29
The burglary to an unlocked vehicle parked in an unlocked shed at 5819 LRC Road is under investigation. Cash, sunglasses and tie-downs were taken.

The possible theft of two four-wheelers, a diesel truck and lawn mower from a detached garage at 4656 Ashley Lane is under investigation.

Nov. 1
Andrew S. Martin, 29, of Waterloo, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.

Nov. 3
Three tires were slashed on a pickup truck in the area of KK Road and Kern Road. The incident is under investigation.

Nov. 4
The possible theft of four 16-inch chrome Silverado wheels with tires, three Dayton Quadra LE tires and two steel Dually rims with tires from Midwest Auto Creations, 3968 State Route 3, is under investigation.

The theft of a floor jack, battery charger and cordless power tools from a shed at 8850 Levee Road is under investigation.

Nov. 5
Deputies responded to multiple reports of minor accidents on rain-slickened roadways throughout the day, including three on Kaskaskia Road. There were no reports of major injuries. One person was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis after the vehicle they were riding in hydroplaned off Kaskaskia Road at the “S” curves and went off the roadway around 9:40 a.m.

Nov. 6
The report of a possible burglary to shed at 3465 Ames Road is under investigation.
