Columbia Police
Oct. 14 – Dominick X. Brooks, 28, of Columbia, was arrested for domestic battery, endangering the life of a child, resisting arrest and felony criminal damage to state supported property (police car) following an incident at 517 Columbia Avenue.
Oct. 16 – Adolfo Bravo-Alavez, 32, of Dupo, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage at 77 Veterans Parkway.
Oct. 16 – Brian C. Chinnici, 35, of Valmeyer, was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage on Bluff Road at Valmeyer Road.

Illinois State Police
Oct. 18 – A fatal crash occurred about 2 p.m. on Route 158 near Roenicke Road just outside of Millstadt in St. Clair County. ISP said a dump truck was headed west on Route 158 when the driver slowed to make a left turn onto Roenicke Road. A 2005 Dodge minivan traveling behind the dump truck failed to slow and crashed into the rear of the dump truck. The driver of the minivan, a 48-year-old  Columbia woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Route 158 was closed to traffic until about 5 p.m. The identities of those involved had not been released as of press time.

Monroe County Sheriff
Oct. 12 – Mary McAnally, 24, of Imperial, Mo., was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Oct. 14 – Keith Ruger, 34, of Waterloo, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Oct. 15 – Carter Simmonds, 18, of Valmeyer, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Oct. 15 – Shortly after midnight, deputies assisted Monroe County EMS in responding to a report of a man trapped under a tractor that had tipped over on the Waterloo Sportsman’s Club grounds. A Survival Flight helicopter was requested as a precaution but unable to fly due to fog. The man was transported by ambulance to Red Bud Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries. The man was reported to be conscious and breathing at the scene. The severity of his injuries was not known.
Oct. 18 – Garrick E. Recker, 27, of Lenzburg, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver (more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams) and aggravated fleeing or eluding police after the 2007 Suzuki motorcycle he was driving on Route 3 near EE Road about 3:30 a.m. failed to stop for police and led officers on a pursuit that ended in a crash near Bluff Road, according to initial reports.

Waterloo Police
Oct. 4 – Kayla Schwent, 22, of Waterloo was arrested for theft after she allegedly stole a cell phone in the 600 block of Mark Drive.
Oct. 8 – Thomas L. Toal, 56, and Thomas N. Toal, 20, both of Waterloo, were each issued city ordinance violations for public wrangling at 100 E. First Street.
Oct. 14 – A 17-year-old Waterloo man was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol on Fourth Street at Polo Run.
Oct. 15 – Jennifer N. Langston, 33, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI, driving while license suspended, no insurance, improper lane usage and possession of cannabis on North Moore Street at Columbia Avenue.
Oct. 15 – David J. Woodall, 18, of Waterloo, was cited for possession of cannabis. Two juveniles in the vehicle were also cited for possession of cannabis.
Oct. 15 – Ashlyn N. Gummersheimer, 22, of Columbia, Bethany P. Roberson, 22, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Sarah Barnhart, 22, of Arkansas, were all cited for illegal transportation of alcohol on Route 3 at Hanover Road.
