Columbia Police

Oct. 8
Jessica Mesa, 26, of Red Bud, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants on Route 3 at Quarry Road.

Oct. 9
Jeffrey P. Ries, 44, of Valmeyer, was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, no valid license and expired registration on Bottom Road at Bluff Road. Ries was also charged with misdemeanor aggravated assault following an incident with an arresting officer.

Oct. 12
James D.L. Crossen, 27, of Belleville, was arrested for DUI, possession of cannabis, illegal transportation of alcohol, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 1 Hickory Lane.

Oct. 13
Troy Fohne, 27, of East St. Louis, was arrested for possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of a hypodermic syringe and on a September charge of felony forgery. Fohne was also arrested on multiple warrants.

Oct. 14
Police responded along with the fire department to the HTC building on Main Street around 8 a.m., after an electrical ballast for overhead lights inside the building went bad. The matter was resolved within a short amount of time.

Illinois State Police

Oct. 13
Millstadt fire personnel were called to assist with a crash involving a motorcycle on Route 158 and Douglas Road around 9:30 p.m. No other information was immediately available.

Monroe County Sheriff

Oct. 9
The report of a door being damaged to a camper at 1165 S. Market Street is under investigation. Nothing was taken from the camper.

Oct. 13
Brian D. Garcia, 36, of Columbia, was cited for improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident on Bluff Road about one-half mile north of the airport near Columbia around 6:30 p.m. Garcia was transported to Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis for treatment of broken bones and a head injury after his BMW collided with a pickup truck. No other injuries were reported.

Oct. 16
The report of a cutting torch taken from a property in the area of 5800 Maeystown Road is under investigation.

Waterloo Police

Oct. 4
Jeffrey Woodrome, 32, of Chester, was issued a city ordinance violation for public fighting at Fast Stop.

Oct. 7
Justin Marshall, 25, of Columbia, was issued a city ordinance violation for quarreling or wrangling in public at 1324 Jamie Lane.

Oct. 12
City ordinance violations for public fighting are pending following separate incidents at Lou & Michelle’s and the WSA ball diamonds.

Oct. 14
Garrett E. Hawkins, 32, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI at 736 N. Market Street.
