Paul A. Wallhaus

Paul A.  Wallhaus, 91, of Columbia, died Feb. 2, 2016, in Columbia.

He was born July 13, 1924, in St. Louis, son of the late Arthur and Esther Wallhaus (nee Jobb).

Paul was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Millstadt VFW. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, a graduate of the University of Illinois, a former member of Waterloo Country Club, and avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and he retired from Storz Instrument Company.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Wallhaus (nee Masters); children Ann (Brad) Marino, Jay (Toni) Wallhaus, and Gina (Brent) Harting; grandchildren Dominick (Yvone Stewart), Alex Marino, and Angelina Marino; and great-grandson John Caillouet.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation is Feb. 5, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Funeral services will be Feb. 5, at 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home, Pastor Bob Goddard officiating.

Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Shriner’s Hospital.
