Columbia police received a report about 8:45 p.m. Saturday from a passer-by of five persons dressed as clowns inside a red car in the Columbia McDonald’s parking lot, possibly carrying fake plastic knives. Police were unable to locate the clowns.

When an officer responded to McDonald’s, employees there said they believed the persons dressed as clowns in the car were just small children and they did not see any plastic knives.
