Mayme C. Busche | Obituary

Mayme C. Busche (nee Fehrenz), 100, of Red Bud, died Aug. 10, 2017, in Red Bud.

She was born April 18, 1917, in Red Bud, daughter of the late Henry and Anna Fehrenz (nee Freytag).

Mayme retired from Swift & Co., worked at Cake factory and Nevois Boarding House, Belleville.

She is survived by her children Ron (Judy) Busche and Carolyn St. Clair; daughter-in-law Ruby Busche; grandchildren Jim, Tim, Jon, Mike, Todd and Keith Busche, Marsha Young, Rhonda, Warren and Robert Alger, and Colleen Alger; 8 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; godchild Mary Ann Bowling (nee Fehrenz); as well as several cousins, nieces Una Faye Mullin and Yvonne Dehner, nephew Warren Fehrenz, and good friends Sue Guebert and Elanor Gilberson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Harland and Clyde Busche, brother Oliver, and sister-in-law Ruth.

The Busche family would like to thank the Red Bud Regional Care nurses, CNAs and staff, especially Brenda, Shelley and Robin.

Visitation and funeral services were Aug. 14, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, Pastor Patrick Poole officiating.

Interment followed at Lakeview, Fairview Heights.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Vitas Hospice.
