Mark O. Reinhold | Obituary

Mark O. Reinhold, 61, of Waterloo, died Oct. 27, 2014 in St. Louis.

He was born March 10, 1953 in Red Bud, son of the late Glennon F. and Audrey Reinhold, nee Schmidt.

He was a 16-year survivor of a heart transplant, a member of the Basilica of St. Louis, King of France (Old Cathedral), Heart Transplant Association of St. Louis, and was the retired owner of McAuley Printing in St. Louis.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Reinhold, nee Pape; children Laura Frierdich (Brad Kretzer), Katie (Erick) Hernandez, Bethany Reinhold, Adam Reinhold (Caitlin Hines) and Alex Reinhold; grandchildren Ty and Grady Frierdich; sister Jill (Craig) Whelen; brother Ken (Shirley) Reinhold; special friends and cousin Robert and Sheryl Metzger; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Oct. 30 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo and 9 to 10 a.m. Oct. 31 at the Basilica of St. Louis, Kings of France (Old Cathedral) in St. Louis.

A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Oct. 31 at the basilica, with Monsignor Jerome D. Billing presiding.

Interment will follow at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Waterloo.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Transplant Association, Basilica of St. Louis King of France, Gibault Catholic High School or Ss. Peter and Paul School.
