Marilyn Frances Schuttenhelm | Obituary

Marilyn Frances Schuttenhelm, nee Wuertz, 78, of Columbia, died Sept. 18, 2014 in Columbia.

She was born Oct. 11, 1935 in Harrisonville, daughter of the late John George and Lillian Odelia Wuertz, nee Keepes.

She graduated from Valmeyer High School in 1953 and worked at Knaust Mushroom Farm, MAR Graphics and General Motors.

She is survived by daughter Mary (Gardner) Wuertz von Holt; stepsons William (Kathy) Schuttenhelm and John Schuttenhelm; three step-grandsons Justin (Amanda) Schuttenhelm, David Schuttenhelm, Jacob Schuttenhelm; siblings Donald (Judy) Wuertz, Carol Roy and Thomas (Linda) Wuertz; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Jeanne Wuertz, Eileen Wuertz and David Ahrens; along with nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Schuttenhelm, brothers James Wuertz, William Wuertz and Bernard Wuertz, sister Rose Ahrens, brother-in-law Earl Roy, nephews John Wuertz and Scott Wuertz.

Visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Sept. 21 and 8 to 9:15 a.m. Sept. 22 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at Immaculate Conception Church in Columbia.

A private graveside service will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Madonnaville.
