Margaret A. Arns (nee Kohnz), 95, of Waterloo, died Oct. 17, 2012, in Waterloo.

She was born April 20, 1917, in Valmeyer, daughter of the late John and Emma Kohnz (nee Sondag).

She was married to Gregory W. Arns for 43 years; he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Arns was a director at State Bank of Waterloo. She also retired after 20 years as a sales clerk at Famous-Barr, and was a Monroe County Election Judge.

Mrs. Arns was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, Waterloo, where she was a member of the Mary & Martha Society.

Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Meechai of Heartland Hospice, and the staff of Columbia Rehab and Nursing Center.

Survivors include her children Charles (Linda) Arns, Marianne Arns, and Tom (Gloria) Arns.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother Leroy Kohnz, and her brother- and sister-in-law Dr. Jerome L. and Emily Arns.

Visitation was Oct. 20, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 20, at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Waterloo, Father Osang Idagbo C.M. officiating.

Interment followed at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Waterloo.
