Lorine C. Horn

Lorine C.  Horn (nee Nobbe), 92, of Waterloo, died March 11, 2016, in Waterloo.

She was born June 16, 1923, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Edward and Louise Nobbe (nee Gentsch).

Lorine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She was the oenr of L&W Childrens Shop, a member of Ladies Aid, and a volunteer for many church activities.

She is survived by her children Sharon (Robert) Osterhage, and Don (Sandi) Horn; son-in-law Don Smith; grandchildren Kay (Gary) Brown, Terry (Sheila) Smith, Todd (Lucy) Osterhage, Angie (Billy) Onder, Joe (Cindy) Ivy, and James Ivy; great-grandchildren Jesse (Karien) Conyers, Christina Smith, Kelsey and Ashley Osterhage, Will, Alexis and Tyler Onder; and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Esther (Vernon) Brandt; cousin Bernell Konradi; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband Walter C. Horn, who died July 5, 1999; daughter Janet Smith, who died May 4, 2014; brothers Wilbert and Vernon Nobbe; and sister Dorothy Hume.

Visitation is March 14, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home; and March 15, from 9 to 10 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Funeral services will be March 15, at 10 a.m., at the church in Waterloo, Pastor Tony Troup officiating.

Interment will follow at Waterloo Cemetery, Waterloo.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
