Lois Mae Mudd

Lois Mae  Mudd (nee Rosenbach), 86, of Waterloo, died March 3, 2016, in Waterloo.

She was born March 21, 1929, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Karl and Martha Rosenbach (nee Huetteman).

Lois was a very independent woman. She could do everything from carpentry to crochet. She was an excellent seamstress, cook and gardener.

When she worked in downtown St. Louis, she watched the last piece of the Arch installed.
Lois was also a volunteer at Morrison-Talbott Library for more than 30 years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Gail Anne Arnold, Kathleen Sue (Richard) Burroughs, and Laurie Lea (Richard) vanBuren; four grandsons, James (Leanne) Arnold, Matthew (Elisha) Arnold, Kyle (Kasi) Burroughs, and Jonathon vanBuren; six great-grandchildren; and brother Ken (Joyce) Rosenbach.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and brother Karl Rosenbach Jr.

A memorial visitation was March 6, at Quernheim Funeral Home.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
