LeRoy L. Loehr Sr. | Obituary

LeRoy L. Loehr Sr., 81, of Waterloo, died Dec. 15, 2014 in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born Jan. 22, 1933 in Waterloo, son of the late Emil and Melba Loehr, nee Haelcher.

LeRoy was a member of the Railroad Club.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel S. Loehr, nee Gummersheimer; daughters Joann (Rick) Holmes, Deborah (Steve) Heise; son Leroy L. Jr. (Lynn) Loehr; grandchildren Colan Holmes, Toby (Susan) Holmes, Julie Stevenson, Johnathan Heise, Chris Loehr; great-grandchildren Axel Holmes and Delsyia Loehr; sisters Dorothy (Kenny) Oexner and Myrtle Voss; along with sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Johnathan Loehr and Christopher Loehr (at birth), sisters Ruth Friedrich and Delores Loehr, brother Donnie Loehr.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 17 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A funeral service will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 at the funeral home.

A private burial at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo will follow.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul UCC in Floraville.
