Kenneth L. Kramer | Obituary

Kenneth L. Kramer, 71, of Waterloo, formerly of Cahokia, died Sept. 11, 2016, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 19, 1945, in East St. Louis, son of the late Edward and Marie Kramer (nee Sorgea).

Kenneth was retired from Gateway Western Railroad, Fairview Heights, and was retired from the U.S. Army. He was a lifetime member of Waterloo Sportsmans Club and the Knights of Columbus Council 4596, Cahokia.

Surviving are his children, Jeannie (Charlie) Latner of Waterloo, and Bryan (Heather) Kramer of The Woodland, Texas; three sisters, Edna (Mike) Guithues of Collinsville, Sue (Ron) Gruenefeld of Columbia, Mo., and Katie (Tom) Chernick of Williamston Mich.; sister-in-law Marilynn Kramer of Collinsville; five grandchildren, Ryan, Devin, Allison, Nate and Lexi; and one great-grandson, Jaxon. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Sharon Kramer (nee Leezy); brother Edward B. Kramer and sister Florence A.  Kramer.

Visitation is Sept. 15, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia.
