The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Gibault Catholic High School junior soccer standout Karson Huels. He scored the game’s only goal during Gibault’s 1-0 victory over cross-town rival Waterloo on Monday night.

Pictured, Huels celebrates after scoring the first half goal. Huels also scored a goal in Tuesday’s win over Springfield. He notched eight goals and 14 assists for the Hawks last season.
