Jean E. Stogner

Jean E. Stogner (nee Wallhaus), 77, of Waterloo, died June 14, 2015, in Waterloo.

She was born Aug. 9, 1937, in East St. Louis, daughter of the late Herman and Alyda Wallhaus (nee Koenigsmark).

Jean was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo and she was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She is survived by her children Linda (Benny Reeves) Etherton, Patricia (Ron) Hurst, Douglas (Kelly) Stogner and Christina (Scott) Hemmer; grandchildren Katherine (Brian) Garey, Kelly (Ryan) Greenlee, Ryan (fiancée Erica Brewer) Etherton, Kristen (Jerry Miller) Etherton, Jessica Hurst, Joshua (fiancée Samantha Naumann) Hurst, Taylor Stogner, Sloane Stogner, Kyle (Kailey Schoenbeck) Hemmer, Devin (Grace Goetting) Hemmer and Dylan Hemmer; great-grandchildren Sydney, Braden and Addilyn Garey, and Brogan and Beckett Greenlee; friend John Etherton; nephew Richard Cox and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert O. Stogner and sisters Ruth Cox and Marjorie Schnipper.

Visitation will be June 19, from 3 to 8 p.m., and June 20, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m., June 20 at the funeral home, with Pastor Merlyn Lawrence officiating.

Interment will follow at Waterloo Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Human Support Services or Monroe County Humane Society.
