Glenn Rodenberg

Glenn  Rodenberg, 83, of Waterloo, died Nov. 26, 2015, in Columbia.

He was born Nov. 18, 1932, in Fults, son of the late Walter C. and Bertha Rodenberg (nee Wortmann).

Glenn was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo. He was a rural mail carrier in Waterloo from November 1959 to January 1988, an avid hunter, taught Sunday school and bible study for a total of 50 years, enjoyed the company of people and welcomed them into his life.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Rodenberg (nee Wehmeier); children Karen (Lynden) Prange, Diane (Dan) Weber and Brian Rodenberg; grandchildren Aaron (Jenny) Prange, Lauren (Matt) Schellhardt, Adam Prange (Allie Haller) and Dustin Weber (Haley Fallon); nieces and nephews Lyn May, Donna (Dennis) Underwood, Joann (“Chuck”) Steppig and Danny May (fiancée Ginger); niece-in-law Karla May; great-nieces and great-nephews, a great-great niece, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Nancy E. Rodenberg, sister Shirley May, brother-in-law Vernon May, niece Sandra May and nephew David May.

Visitation was Nov. 29, at Quernheim Funeral Home and Nov. 30 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo.

Funeral services were Nov. 30, at the church, with Pastor James Watson officiating.

Interment followed at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo.

As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo or the Columbia Rehab & Nursing Center Activity Fund.
