Glendon Ray Carter

Glendon Ray Carter, 82, of Waterloo, died May 6, 2016, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, St. Louis.

He was born Nov. 13, 1933, in Nicholasville, Ky., son of the late Clifton and Hazel Carter (nee Sebastian).

He was united in marriage to Pauline Annette “Polly” Carter (nee Sneticki) on Sept. 16, 1956, at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church, Roseville, Mich.; she preceded him in death Oct. 13, 2006.

Mr. Carter was a supervisor in the auto industry, a member of the Thoroughbred Racing Horse Association and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Surviving are his children, Tracy (David) Haverstick of Pacific, Mo., and Michael William Konstan of Cleveland, Ohio; his sisters, Delores Jean (Jim) Davis, and Judy Ruth (Al) Paxton, both of Livonia, Mich.; his grandchildren, David Scott (Becky) Haverstick of Indianapolis, Ind., Teresa Jo Haverstick of Sausalito, Calif., Jennifer Jean (Steven) Feinman of Indianapolis, Ind., and Johnathan Michael Haverstick of Waterloo; his great-grandchildren, Nicholas Elliot Feinman, Hannah Jo Feinman, Allie Marie Feinman and Collin “Commodore Jaguar” Stevens; his godson, Mark Leroy of Dallas, Texas; and nieces, nephews and many friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; his children, Gregory Baxter Carter, Glenn Antoine Carter and John Anthony Carter, all in childhood; his children, Jerry Kay Carter and Kevin Carter in infancy; his sisters, Barbara Fay (Wayne) Capshaw, and Sandra Kay Dole; and his brothers, William Hagar and Allen Hagar.

Visitation is May 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Creason Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Funeral services will be May 11, at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
