George W.  Dunlap, 65, of Waterloo, died Jan. 17, 2016, in Waterloo.

He was born July 11, 1950, in Evansville, Ind., son of George D. Dunlap and the late Helen Louise Faulkner.

George retired from Painters Local Union 85. He was a loving husband, father and doting grandfather.

George was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Mary Dunlap (nee Buchanan); children Sarah (Joshua) Deutch and Emily Dunlap; grandchildren Evelyn and Annalise Deutch; father George D. Dunlap; brother Steven Dunlap; sister Linda Cox; and father-in-law and mother-in-law; along with brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Louise Faulkner, brother John Dunlap and sister Yvonne Gass.

Visitation and funeral services were Jan. 20, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Interment followed at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo.
