The Waterloo Homecoming takes place this Friday and Saturday, Aug. 27-28, on the courthouse grounds in downtown Waterloo.

Food will be served both days beginning at 4 p.m., with carnival rides and games offered both nights starting at 5 p.m.

The theme for this year’s parade is “Happy 75th Birthday to Waterloo VFW Post 6504.”

The parade will begin on Columbia Avenue at North Moore Street and continue from North Main Street to West Mill Street before finishing on Mill Street at Library Street.

Friday music will be performed by the Waterloo Municipal Band at 7 p.m. and Tim Berg and the Kurtz Family Band at 8 p.m. Aug. 27. Saturday music will be performed by the Bud Light Brigade at 7 p.m. and Pick N and A Grin N at 8 p.m.
